WOW Activity Tracker

A short introduction for parents/carers

Hello,

As you know, our school is partnered with the national walking charity Living Streets to deliver their walk to school challenge, WOW. The initiative encourages pupils to stay active and rewards them with collectable badges when they walk, cycle, scoot or park and stride to school.

With much learning now online, and many pupils at home, Living Streets has made some temporary changes to the initiative to also allow pupils who are not travelling to school to record physical activity they do at home. They have called it the WOW Activity Tracker!

As you know, daily physical activity is essential for children’s mental and physical health, so we’d like to invite you to participate by logging your child’s activity from home. By doing so they can still be in with a chance to earn their badge/s on return to school. And in the meantime, to keep children motivated, some special digital/printable rewards are up for grabs at the end of each month.

To take part, follow these simple steps:

  1. Go to traveltracker.org.uk site and use the following three-word classroom access code to log in: blend-askew-dizzy
  2. Check out his short step-by-step guide on how to log your child’s activity.
  3. Make sure you only log your child’s activity and that’s it, your child is one step closer to earning their badge!

If you have any questions, please refer to the FAQs page – parents’ section.

We hope you will start using the WOW Activity Tracker along with the rest of the school.

All the best,

Mr Kitching (PE co-ordinator)
