Healthy Fruit Kebabs

In Design Technology, children in Y3/4 looked at the different foods that were grown around the world and how the climate of the place dictated the types of foods that were produced. In this work, children identified the 5 climate zones and could discuss the typical weather conditions within each climate zone.

Heading to the school kitchen, we talked about food hygiene, keeping safe in the kitchen then they all worked cooperatively following a recipe to prepare and make delicious Japanese Fruit Skewers.  

Everyone helped with the cleaning and tidying, then they all got the opportunity to enjoy the fruits of their labour.
